Job Overview:
Information Technology/Knowledge Management Specialist needed to provide services to the Office of Naval Research Global (ONR Global) personnel.
Responsibilites Include but are not limited to:
- Provide Knowledge Management (KM) Subject Matter Expertise (SME) skill and experience to enable the effective and efficient communication of Command institutional knowledge to a globally disbursed workforce via industry leading data capture tools (e.g.snag it) and electronic platforms. This specialist will be required to execute the development and deployment of knowledge and messaging to a distributed workforce of fully-remote individual employee’s and consolidated office environments around the world.
- Provide Microsoft SharePoint Site Collection Administrator and SharePoint application development and support to the ONR Global to enable the prompt presentation of the most current and accurate information in the command’s Knowledge Management systems. These specialists will word alongside the Chief Information Officer (CIO) team members at multiple ONR Global sites and KM contractor support based in Arlington, VA.
- Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office software products (e.g., Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook, Teams) with a particular emphasis on collaboration capabilities provided in Microsoft Teams.
- Provide SME advice and technical guidance on the technical capabilities that interface between individual user files, data retained in MS Teams, and data retained in SharePoint sites.
- Recommend improvements to ONR-G Knowledge Management applications (i.e., SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams) and workflows, based on KM Best Practices, to enhance the user’s ability to access, manage, store and reuse data, documents and information.
- As directed by the government, design, develop and implement Mission Support enhancement capabilities in support ONR Global Content Managers.
- Provide subject matter expertise to develop SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams templates and data fields.
- Provide subject matter expertise to develop SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams database object tagging schema.
Qualifications:
- Experience & proficiency with commercial software, to include Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams & Excel)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with customers that include senior military, foreign governments and international partners.

Pay: £23,379.04-£79,265.75 per year
