Are you a HR professional that wants to be part of our move to a new hospice? This is an exciting time to join the hospice as in Autumn 2023 we will be relocating to Pease Pottage, this role will play an integral part in the transition to our new hospice.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and highly motivated person that can hit the ground running, up for a challenge and is happy to roll their sleeves up but has a keen eye for attention to detail.
This is an interesting, varied hands-on HR role and youll need to be a whizz at:
You'll work alongside employees and volunteers across the People Directorate ensuring we are recruiting and retaining the very best.
You need to have a keen eye for attention to detail, be proactive and creative around recruitment and comfortable with employment law around contracts and pay and reward.
Your input will be essential in continuing to develop and shape how the transactional service is delivered. Managing and supporting a small team, you will lead the team and agree standards across the team, responsible for managing the HR system and delivery of the recruitment, reward and transactional service on a day to day basis.
You'll ensure organisational understanding and compliance with HR practices, Care Quality Commission, and other regulatory and statutory bodies' requirements.
This post is for a 12 month maternity cover, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Please note that this role could close at any time as we will review applications as we receive them.

We are located in Malthouse Road, Crawley, West Sussex, which is within commuting distance from Brighton and London and just a 5-minute walk from Crawley railway station. In Autumn of 2023 we will be relocating to Pease Pottage where this role will then be based.
