Job Description
Healthcare assistants (HCAs) are a vital part of the team that supports the medical staff and patients in wards and departments throughout the hospital.
Under the supervision and direction of qualified nursing staff, healthcare assistants carry out a wide range of duties to care for, support, and provide information to patients and their families.
We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic, motivated, and skilled Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly team, providing family centered care, which is progressive and forward thinking. We have multi-disciplinary clinics Monday-Friday, as well as Nurse Led Clinics.
Children's Outpatients is a very busy department. You will be expected to work as a member of the nursing team working under the supervision and guidance of a registered Children's Nurse to assist with the planned care of children and their families, and work closely with Paediatric Medical Records, Appointments and with our Medical and Nursing multi-disciplinary teams.

We’ve also significantly increased the representation of minority ethnic leaders across our clinical and corporate teams.
Monitoring patients’ conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations and weight.
Do health checks.
Re-stock consulting rooms.
Do health promotion or health education work.
HCAs also work with doctors, midwives and other healthcare professionals with a lot of patient contact.
