Accounting Manager

London, UK- Hybrid working 2-3 days a week ideally in the office

Outsource UK's client are a global company and are in the market to hire an Accounting Manager to oversee business areas in the UK&I. As the client are going through a new system implementation, This would be an exciting role for somebody who is happy to come in and define new processes and help the business in this period of transition.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Prepare or Lead preparation of monthly P&L for the clients UK & Ireland business areas
• Support successful go live of the ONE SAP project in respect of the R2R process
• Ensure that project and fixed asset ledgers are accurate, up to date and complete.
• Ensure that bank account reconciliations are complete, and any reconciling items resolved in a timely manner.
• Work with Accounts Receivable Manager and Accounts Payable Manager to ensure prompt and accurate processing of AR and AP transactions.
• Assist in preparation of statutory Financial Statements in line with IFRS/ FRS 102 & Group policies.
• Act as stand in for Controller as and when required
• Manage and develop a team of qualified and part-qualified accountants in multiple locations.

Experience Needed:

• Experience of handling complex accounts/invoicing process
• Prior experience of period end reporting
• Team management and development experience
• Knowledge (technical/functional & Industry/organisation knowledge)
• Good understanding of reporting under FRS 102 and/or IFRS
• Good understanding of fixed asset accounting
• Good knowledge of Corporate Tax and VAT
