We are currently seeking an outstanding Head Chef, Private Dining who is highly motivated to be part of the leadership team within our Strathearn Restaurant.
The on target earning potential for this role is £51,000 annual / salary - comprising a base salary of £48,000, plus a qualified estimate of £3,000 in gratuities and service charge.* As a member of the Gleneagles team, you will also enjoy a fantastic range of perks, benefits and rewards.
We’re also looking to attract International candidates as part of our International Sponsorship programme.

Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:
Developing a timetable of Culinary events using seasonal and local produce to highlight the innovative and ever-changing gastronomic array on offer to our guests; planning and developing fresh, exciting and pioneering new menus for our Private Dining experiences
Expertly managing the Private Dining Kitchen, you’ll ensure the operation runs without a hitch, striving for the utmost creativity, efficiency and profitability
You’ll build strong working relationships across the estate, developing an in depth understanding and awareness of all of our internal and external guests’ needs
Developing an ongoing process within the Culinary teams which proactively plans and prepares for all Private Dining menu changes, presenting these through food tastings, always supporting our teams to ensure they have fantastic product knowledge
Supplying Private Dining Managers and the Events and the Gleneagles Reservations teams with creative, bespoke menus and propositions which will effectively maximise revenue and profitability
Building a high performing team culture in Private Dining; you’ll role model behaviours and lead from the front
Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us 5 star in every way

The kind of person we're looking for:
You have previous experience working as part of a fast-moving, quality driven, Culinary team, at Head Chef level, ideally within Michelin and 5* hotels
A fantastic cook, with an outstanding track record; you never rest on your laurels and you continually strive to keep on learning and honing your skill
Adept at managing competing, and sometimes conflicting, priorities, you like it when your work stands out from the crowd and you make sure you’re always one step ahead of industry trends
You’re up for doing things differently and trying (almost) everything once
Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; you're passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the Gleneagles brand
You have a positive “can do” attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner
A strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you're well organised and punctual with an eagle eye for detail
You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and above all has fun along the way
