Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced candidate to lead our kitchen team as Head Chef of our National Award Winning Inn and help push our business forward.

The candidate MUST be passionate, creative, organised, committed & a team player!

About Us:

The Sign of the Angel is an independent family-owned Inn. Our team are regional & national award winners! We currently hold 2 AA rosettes and have been featured in Good Food & Trenchermans Guides. We also won Sawday's Inn/pub of the Year!! We are passionate about great food, drink & service. Located in the beautiful National Trust village of Lacock we have a 50 cover restaurant, beautiful garden and 5 bedrooms.

The Role:

· The successful candidate would run the kitchen and team of four other chefs.

· To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen and manage the team to ensure excellent standards throughout.

· Our food is of a high standard, all freshly prepared on site.

· We are open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.

· We give our Head Chef freedom to to express themselves and want someone who wants input into pushing the business forward.

What the applicant needs:

• Someone with previous head chef experience, preferably at 2 rosette standard
• To lead by example and remain calm under pressure
• Positive can-do attitude
• Good communication skills
• Attention to detail in all aspects of the kitchen from plating up, cleanliness and maintain GP%.
• Flexibility to work hours as determined by the business, shifts including evenings, weekends and bank holidays
• To be able to drive due to lack of public transport in Lacock

Salary: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
