Residential Handyperson

Norwich and Surrounding Area

£20,441 per annum (Scale B)

37 hours per week, Full Time, Permanent Position

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team.

Ideally you will be someone who can ensure that any decorating and minor repairs in the residential homes are carried out promptly, and to a good standard. We are looking for someone with basic DIY skills, able to paint and decorate, construct flat pack furniture, and be fit and able help to provide general practical assistance for the service.

Norfolk Residential Children’s Homes provide emergency and time limited, specialist care for young people (male and female) aged between 8 - 17 years, when either family, foster care, mainstream residential or other community-based placements are not possible or desirable at the time.

You must have your own transport and a clean driving licence, and be prepared to travel, mileage will be paid.

To work within this environment, you will need to be committed to making a difference in the lives of young people. You will need to be reliable, have good personal relationship and communication skills as well as high professional standards. The post involves working closely with children and is subject to an Enhanced DBS and subject to 6 months’ probation.
