JOB DESCRIPTION
GENERAL ASSISTANT
RESPONSIBLE TO: Head Cook/Office
FUNCTION:
- To communicate with the residents and work colleagues Report to Manager or Assistant Manager any resident not feeling well when serving early morning tea or the Supervisor on duty. This also applies when collecting cups and trays from rooms.
- Ensure that residents and staff come to no harm, that accidents are avoided and any precipitating cause is anticipated. If accidents do occur they must be reported to the office immediately.
- Be aware of the Health and Safety Policy and Fire Policy, be familiar with all Fire Exits and Procedures, also when using cleaning materials, and using dishwasher.
JOB ROLE
.
- To maintain a high standard of cleanliness, following a cleaning rota.
- Take early morning teas and evening drinks to rooms.
- Take meal trays to rooms if residents are not coming down for meals you will need to communicate with kitchen/office for this, and return later to collect the tray once the meal is finished.

- All information passing through the Home is of a confidential nature and the Employee shall not, under any circumstances, divulge any information, confidential or otherwise, to any third party or divulge any information about residents, relatives, staff or any other matter which could be considered prejudicial to the interest of the Trust.

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 19 per week
Salary: £8.18-£11.18 per hour
