About the Team

As part of the wider Commercial Finance function FP&A is at the heart of the company, it is the go-to team to understanding performance & future projections. It is one of the very few teams who will have the opportunity to understand the entire business & be close to the strategic plans.


About the role

Reporting into the Head of FP&A, this role will lead Tesco Mobile's short term & long-term forecasts, partnering with senior stakeholders in the business. This person will also be key to communicating performance & influencing the business to make the right financial decisions.


This is a high-profile role that has a high degree of exposure to key internal and external stakeholders. You will need to excel at confidently and reliably communicating with impact at the highest levels across wide range of financial and non-financial business performance metrics.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead short- & long-term forecasting cycles.
  • Stakeholder management.
  • Working closely with commercial teams to produce to robust forecasts.
  • Influencing the business to make the right financial decisions,
  • Collaborating with Financial Accounting teams to understand P&L results.
  • Prepare board presentations.
  • Produce & present monthly performance updates to senior stakeholders, identifying key drivers and highlighting any underlying opportunities or risks.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the commercial drivers of the business.
  • Review and strengthen existing processes and financial models.

What We Need from You:

Essential Skills:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
  • Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Strong Stakeholder Management & Business Partnering Skills
  • Excellent Communication & Presentation Skills
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Experience implementing cloud based planning tool desirable
