This stunning four-star hotel is centrally located within Hull, on Ferensway, minutes from the train station and St Stephens Shopping Centre. The hotel is opposite the Hull Truck Theatre and is a short stroll to the bustling downtown and marina area. The hotel boasts 165 bedrooms and a 1,000sqm ballroom for events and conferences. There is a Marco Pierre White Steakhouse and Grill offering hearty meals and a pleasurable atmosphere. Person Specification

Are you passionate about people, drinks and food? If the answer is yes, then this is the role for you! We are seeking a bubbly and friendly candidate who likes to be in a customer-facing position. You will ideally have worked within a hospitality setting previously and be familiar with the inner workings of a restaurant, however, this is not essential as training will be provided. What is essential though is a passion for hospitality! You will be hard-working, able to work alongside others as part of a team, and able to speak confidently to customers. You will also be willing to work a range of shifts, including daytime, evenings and weekends.

Job Description

You will be working within the hotel's Restraunt alongside a passionate team who are eager to deliver an exceptional experience for our guests. You will work a range of shifts including daytime, evenings and weekends. You'll be working in a front-of-house position meeting and greeting guests and providing great table service. You'll be a great team player working closely with your kitchen and bar colleagues to ensure a smooth service.

Some key duties will include:

  • Preparing the bar for the day and night ahead including setting up, prepping, stocking and cleaning.
  • Meeting and greeting guests. Making recommendations and engaging in conversation.
  • Taking food and drink orders and processing them through a till. Cash and card transactions.
  • Proving table service.
  • Sales driven, keen to up-sell and cross-sell.
  • Coaching and supporting new team members.
  • Supporting other hotel colleagues and helping out in other areas of the hotel when it's needed.

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Salary: Up to £9.60 per hour

Day range:

  • Holidays

  • Weekend availability

Shift:

  • 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:
