Job Description

Walters People have partnered with a leading, well recognised Retail business based in central London who are looking for a talented Finance Analyst on a permanent basis to be responsible for store reporting and supporting company strategic objectives. This is a newly created role due to continued growth and will provide an ambitious part qualified accountant the opportunity to work alongside and support varied business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities as the Finance Analyst:
  • Monthly accounting for all property costs
  • Work closely with wider finance team to ensure accurate reporting of costs
  • Monthly reporting and analysis of all retail costs
  • Supporting BP for Quarterly forecasting and Annual budgeting of full Retail P&L, Sales, Margin and costs
  • Develop strong relationships with the Retail team and work with field team to drive cost efficiencies
  • Seek opportunities to drive positive change in finance and/or business processes to improve efficiency, maximise value for money and improve stakeholder experience
  • Provide investment appraisals for new stores and renovation projects and timely preparation of Board Packs for Group level approval
  • Manage staff commission and store manager bonus calculation
  • Seek opportunities to drive positive change in finance and/or business processes to improve efficiency, maximise value for money and improve stakeholder experience

About you as the Finance Analyst:
If you have commercial finance experience within a retail or multisite environment and you are Enthusiastic, self-confident, and pro-active, this is the role for you!

  • The role will require you to have a methodical and organised approach with excellent attention to detail, you will have great excel and modelling skills and enjoy working with a team.
  • you will also be actively working towards your professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA or Equivalent).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with all levels within the company.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Willing to adapt and take on new challenges and driven to continually improve.
  • Able to handle multiple demands and competing priorities successfully.
  • Work effectively and efficiently with the ability to establish credibility.
