There's never been a better time to join the M&S Finance Team! Woven into the fabric of M&S, we have impactful finance teams who play a pivotal role in value creation, value protection and delivering data and insights as M&S moves through significant transformation.

We have a number of Finance Analyst positions available to support different divisions within M&S (such as Food, Clothing & Home, Property). All the Analysts will be working closely with the teams of their specific divisions to support business objectives through accurate and insightful reporting and robust business processes.

Key accountabilities:
  • Contributing business value through forecasting, in line with 3YP process.
  • Being a brilliant business partner - challenging, independent, encouraging, collaborative and connecting the dots.
  • Building value through insightful and impactful analysis, including deep dives into trade performance, scenario modelling on new initiatives, product areas or promotions.
  • Championing continuous improvement by utilising available analytical tools, collaborating with Data and Finance centre of excellence teams to help develop outstanding tools to support the business area and partners.
  • Protecting value through strong controllership and understanding of risks and opportunities, collaborating with wider team to ensure financial controls are in place.
  • Supporting a hard-working team by continuously seeking to grow professionally and develop efficient ways of working
Key skills:
  • Qualified Accountant – CIMA/ACCA/ACA.
  • Brilliant story-telling - ability to communicate the impact to management, business partners and other finance teams.
  • Quick learner, hardworking and solution orientated.
  • Analytical – able to find fresh insights.
  • Curious and highly motivated, with an interest in retail.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Maintenance of meticulous financial controls.
