As we continue our mission to make people happy through chocolate, we’re looking for a Finance Analyst to join our Finance team on a fixed term contract covering maternity leave.

Reporting to the Finance Manager for Digital & Marketing, you will be responsible for supporting them to report, analyse and provide insight on Hotel Chocolat’s UK Digital and Marketing performance.

Here at Hotel Chocolat, we've adopted hybrid working This means you’ll join us on site for three days a week, and for the other two days – you can work from wherever you like! The on-site location for this role is our Head Office, ‘Mint House’, in Royston, Hertfordshire. Our home from the very beginning, it’s just off the A505 and 10 minutes’ walk from Royston train station, with direct rail links to London King’s Cross.

What you’ll be doing….

• Posting and reconciling Sales and Cost of Sales transactions for the Digital channel.
• Calculating accruals and prepayments for Marketing.
• Supporting the wider business in using the Finance System.
• Assist with preparing Marketing Budgeting and Forecasting.
• Assist with ROI analysis for Marketing investments and other Trading decisions.
• Assist with ad hoc analysis.
• Working cross functionally through any business changes, improving processes and controls.
• Raising POs, providing cover for the Finance Assistant as required and other duties as required.

Who you are…

You’ll be a Part Qualified Accountant, or actively completing your CIMA/ACCA along with experience of working for a multi-site, high volume, growth business.

Essential

• Prior experience with accruals and prepayments.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong communication skills at all levels.

Desirable

• Able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience using Dynamics 365.
