Financial Analyst

Permanent Position (£35,000 per year)

Monday to Friday 9AM to 5:30PM (on-site position, 5 days a week)

Global Exchange is a leading company in the provision of foreign currency exchange services based at international airports in 22 countries across 5 continents.

As part of this growth, Global Exchange is beginning operations in the UK, and to support this we have exciting opportunity for a passionate and hands-on Financial Analyst.

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the financial analysis and planning activities of the company. They will help analyse financial data, develop financial models, and prepare financial reports for management. They will also be responsible for reconciling and balancing the ATM transactions on a daily basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including monthly and quarterly financial statements
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement
  • Develop financial models and forecasts to support business decisions
  • Conduct research and analysis of economic and financial data to support decision-making
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities by collecting and analysing financial data
  • Prepare presentations for management summarising financial performance and analysis
  • Support other finance and accounting projects and initiatives as needed
  • Reconcile ATM transactions and resolve any discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner
  • Review and analyse ATM transaction reports and identify errors and exceptions
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in ATM transactions, including missing deposits, incorrect withdrawals, and system errors
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of ATM transactions and reconciliations
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Knowledge of financial analysis techniques and tools, including financial modelling, forecasting, and valuation. Ability to analyse financial data and draw conclusions.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including financial statement preparation, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential, including the ability to work with large datasets and create complex formulas.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for presenting financial information to colleagues and clients.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential to ensure the accuracy of financial reports and analysis.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to identify problems, gather and analyse data, develop solutions, and make recommendations to management.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the business environment and to learn new skills and tools quickly.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Undergraduate or Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in financial analysis or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise multiple tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
