Title: Financial Accountant

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

OVERVIEW:

Are you a practice trained ACA/ACCA qualified accountant looking to make the move into industry? If so, I could have just the opportunity you are looking for. My client is looking to increase their finance team with the addition of a talented and versatile Financial Accountant.

THE ROLE:

This is a newly created position and will provide a much needed added resource to an established finance team working in a fast moving business sector.

The successful applicant will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of financial control and accounting across the business to a high level of quality and consistency.
Duties will include balance sheet reconciliations & ownership for monthly review by the FC, accounts pack & Board commentary, take responsibility for quality control general ledger maintenance data accuracy and seek continued improvement in financial control.

Work closely with the Group Accounting to ensure accounting treatments are in line with relevant accounting standards, work closely with the commercial department and oversee the year-end audit process acting as the main point of contact for external auditors

Participating in preparation and review of statutory financial statements

THE CANDIDATE:

It is likely that you are a newly qualified ACA/ACCA accountant perhaps from professional practice and looking to make that first move into industry. A strong background in accounts preparation and audit will stand you in good stead for this key appointment.

Alternatively you might be already working out in industry and looking for new challenges. You are however a highly motivated individual, capable of working methodically and with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Exceptional communication and inter-personal skills will be required to liaise effectively across various divisions of the company, information gathering and reporting.
