Job Description

Volta Trucks, a hypergrowth European Electric Truck Manufacturer, is looking for a Finance Operations Manager to join our Finance department. The role is flexible with a mix of remote working, travel to our UK office in Reading (1 day per week) and occasional travel to other Volta Truck sites.

This is a unique opportunity to join an ambitious scale-up where you will have the opportunity to make an impact from day one and help create and implement effective processes and systems to ensure improved efficiency across the finance function and wider business.

What you will do:

Reporting to the Finance Controller you will take the lead of all banking, credit control and accounts payable/receivable to ensure the timely delivery of efficient and controlled business processes. You will also be tasked with supporting on order to cash and purchase to payments processes within the finance department. Key duties include:

  • Manage the implementation of new AR processes and support the Finance Systems manager with implementation of new systems
  • Ensure invoices are received, reviewed and authorised in a timely manner, liaising with production teams as required
  • Manage the AP team, ensuring all invoices are authorised in a timely manner
  • Create, develop and manage the AP/AR month end process ensuring deadlines are met
  • Oversee and support treasury operations which would include cash management activity, foreign exchange and interest and oversight of bank account set-up and ongoing maintenance
  • Build and maintain effective and sustainable relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally (Banks, sales teams and service centres)

We would like you to have:

  • Accounting/Finance qualifications are desirable but not essential. Will also consider people with extensive financial operations experience
  • Previous experience of creating, developing and implementing processes within finance functions and ability to manage change
  • Ability to work on a global scale and manage finance processes across multiple entities throughout Europe
  • Sound operational finance experience is essential – AP/AR, payroll, credit control, bank management, invoices and deposits
  • Experience within automotive industry is highly desirable
