Job description
This is a rare and exciting opportunity for 2 creative and innovative engagement advisors to play a crucial role in the development and delivery of a new approach to ensure that the fens landscape can adapt to the challenges that increased flood risk and climate change will bring.

The climate emergency is the biggest challenge of our time. Temperatures are increasing and sea levels are rising faster than ever before. Now more than ever, we need to plan and act if we are going to adapt to these changes and create resilient communities across the Fens.

Working in the Fens 2100+ team and with external contractors, you will design, plan, and deliver a variety of engagement activities, across the fens landscape to ensure engagement is accessible, inclusive, and delivered in partnership with others.

We are looking for 2 engagement advisors to work together across East Anglia and Lincolnshire to develop the story telling and narrative of Fens 2100+, buying “hearts and minds” to ensure it engages audiences now and into the future.

Jointly, your passion for partnership working and engaging the right people will ensure that the Fens 2100+ delivers a high-quality plan for adaptation which is focused on and created with, the target audiences.

If you are passionate about embedding change and want to help shape the future of a valuable landscape, community, and place, this could be the role for you.

Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do. You’ll be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.
