This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an Advisor to play a key role in the development and delivery of a new approach to ensure that the fens landscape can adapt to the challenges that increased flood risk, and climate change, will bring.
The climate emergency is the biggest challenge of our time. Temperatures are increasing and sea levels are rising faster than ever before. Now more than ever, we need to plan and act if we are going to adapt to these changes and create resilient communities across the Fens.
This is an exciting and wide-ranging role.
Working in the Fens 2100+ team, and with external contractors, you will help set the process for deciding how, when and where we invest FCRM assets across this landscape and then support the roll-out of this process across the landscape.
This role will include forming links with partners and stakeholders across the landscape and managing their input into Fens 2100+. You will also support the Fens 2100+ engagement advisor, to develop communication products such as presentations and briefing documents, to ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
This is a new area of work, therefore learning and sharing lessons with others is key. To support this, you will engage with relevant projects and programmes such as the Adaptation Pathways programme, using knowledge gained to benefit the Fens 2100+ project.
Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do. You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.
