Job Title: EHS Professional 1

Salary: £43,700 + per annum dependent upon experience

Location : Wimborne

Benefits: 25 days annual leave,

10% bonus

Contributory pension scheme- Caterpillar will double the employee's contribution Up to 10%

We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Caterpillar Oil & Gas and Marine Division (COGMD) as an Environment, Health, and Safety Professional (EHS) .
This candidate will be a passionate, self-driven and an excellent communicator to enhance and mature our EHS culture. Reporting directly to the Marine EHS Director and working with the Wimborne Caterpillar Facility, and at times supporting our Marine service teams, the prime objectives are to protect and enhance the safety of our employees through prevention to achieve a best-in-class EHS performance.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Lead EHS compliance, management systems and internal conformance standards.

  • Continue to deepen our culture built on our proactive leading indicators within the Internal Maturity Model.

  • Implement, enhance, and oversee EHS policies, procedures, and training programs that promote a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and sustainability.

  • Identify EHS hazards and trends inherent in the organization’s operations and establish and implement methods and guidelines to mitigate those hazards.

  • Ensure compliance with regulations and industry best practices for EHS while being hands-on and visible.

  • Enhance and delivering EHS coaching and training solutions by developing a robust learning culture.

  • Develop strong relationships and seek understanding of internal and external customer’s needs across manufacturing, operations, and office environments through frequent communication and site visits.

  • Conducting regular audit to verify internal requirements and continuous improvement.

  • Present regular updates on EHS performance to key customers.

  • Support leaders in the Incident Management process.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.

  • 3+ years of previous EHS experience, preferably in a manufacturing or related field environment.

  • Understanding of complex EHS concepts and regulations.

  • Excellent communication skills, including that of complex technical information and data to a variety of stakeholders.

  • Strong ability for problem solving and critical thinking.

  • Ability to manage medium complexity projects.

  • ISO:14001 Experience desirable
