Who are we looking for?
As we are growing at UKAEA, we currently have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Analyst looking to work at the forefront of their field leading in research and application of integrated multi-disciplinary and multi-physics simulation tools to solve some of our most complex problems.
This role of Engineering Analyst will have you engaging with the core engineering issues facing fusion systems and components, which will lead to you contributing to the critical progress and delivery of fusion power systems.
To be successful in the Engineering Analyst role you will be confident in delivering packages of work without supervision. You will be able to manage small project teams and undertake some peer-checking and supervision of other staff.
What will you be responsible for?
As an Engineering Analyst, your role is to carry out mechanical engineering design activities with a particular emphasis on tasks requiring expertise in the use of computer aided engineering (CAE) tools to simulate design functionality and qualify performance. Core duties include:
