Maintenance Engineer - Electrical

Our client is one of the UK’s largest sub-contract suppliers of machined components to the Construction industry.

Due to continued growth and success they currently have a vacancy for Maintenance Engineer - Electrical to join their team. Based in Leicester, LE2, the successful candidate must have gained experience working on CNC Turning, Milling Machines, Lathes, Hardening and welding machinery within an engineering manufacturing environment. Maintenance Engineer - Electrical Main duties:

• Provide electrical maintenance to a wide range of CNC and specialist machinery
• Electrical repairs to motors, control panels, wiring, relays, contactors, switches and bulbs
• Manage and resolve reactive breakdown repairs, reducing machine downtimes to a minimum
• As required carry out major refurbishment of plant, equipment and machinery
• PLC fault finding and interrogation
• Investigate reported faults, identify the cause and decide the necessary course of action to rectify the fault
• Planned preventative maintenance
• Comply with legal requirements and to work within Company health and safety guidelines
• Candidate will be expected to work across both sites in Leicester

Maintenance Engineer - Electrical – Essential experience

• HNC or equivalent in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering 18th Edition
• Minimum 3 years experience in an Engineering environment which includes experience of fault-finding and repairing CNC multi-axis machines
• Conversant with Fanuc & Siemens controls
• Conversant with present and emerging technology, up to date knowledge of equipment and techniques

Maintenance Engineer - Electrical - Additional details

• Weekly Rotating Shifts 6.00 a.m. – 2.00 p.m. / 2.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. Monday to Friday
• Salary: £34,000
• Overtime rates: £22.16, £25.00, £33.33 p/h
• Permanent
