Job Description

We are looking for a driven, proactive and organised person to join our transport and warehouse team as a Delivery Driver on a full time basis. We are a rapidly growing, family run business based in Crowborough, East Sussex.

As a delivery driver representing Imex Ceramics, you will be the face of the company and the interactions you have with our customers plays an important role in their experience. With this in mind the ideal candidate will be friendly and approachable, thriving on providing exceptional customer service. Being an excellent team player, and able to communicate effectively with others, helping to give the best customer service possible. A full clean UK driving license is required, to which regular checks will be required by the company.

The role is Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 17:30. (1 hours unpaid lunch) excluding bank holidays.

There may be an occasional requirement for a two day run schedule with overnight accommodation paid for and meal allowances.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Daily vehicle inspection to verify road worthiness.
• Provide an efficient delivery and collection service to our customers.
• Loading of your vehicle to ensure load safety, and assisting with other delivery vehicle loading.
• Delivering a high level of customer service.
• All related admin and filing.

Your Profile

• Excellent communication skills.
• Customer focused.
• Enjoy working within a team and fast-paced environment.
• Physically comfortable with handling goods in the region of 25kg.
• A full clean UK driving license with experience driving 3.5t LWB vehicles.
• Previous experience in a delivery driver role is also desirable.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £25,144.60-£25,737.40 per year

Experience:

• delivery driver: 1 year (required)
• driving: 5 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving License with no endorsements (required)
