Location: Rochdale – Hybrid
Full time – 40 hours week

Salary up to £26,000 plus generous benefits
We are currently working with our client, a nationwide finance provider to appoint a permanent full time Debt Advisor.
The main purpose of the role will be to communicate with customers who are in financial difficulty and have defaulted on their finance agreement. You are required to understand each customers individual circumstances and agree an appropriate solution in line with company standards
You will be involved with:
- Assessing defaulted accounts – received from internal departments
- Formulate a recovery strategy based on case needs
- Review actions in line with law and regulatory aspects of the account handling have been adhered to
- Liaising with internal teams to undertake legal action and asset recovery as necessary
- Communicating effectively with customers to understand their circumstances and reach a fair solution for the customer and the business
- Reviewing and managing insolvency cases (IVAs, DROs, Bankruptcy etc)
You will need to be:
- Excellent telephone and customer service skills.
- Strong background in a regulated collections environment
- Strong knowledge of insolvency processes
- Act with integrity and empathetically
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, time management skills.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Proactive approach to work.
- Team player with strong communication skills both verbal and written.
