Walters People have partnered with a leading business in Birmingham in their recruitment of a Credit Controller on a shirt term interim contract. The role will be paid hourly rate with a perm equivalent salary of up to £27k and the role being highly remote.

Responsibilities of the Credit Controller:


  • Allocate cash to customer accounts and allocate to invoices
  • Collect overdue customer accounts using telephone and email
  • Reconcile customer accounts, deal with customer queries, and raise necessary credit notes
  • Collaborate and action the debtor’s ledger with line manager and colleagues
  • Be proactive in making changes to the method & processes for collection of debt
  • Negotiate payment plans and setting up terms and conditions for customers
  • Support other members of the finance team when required


About you as the Credit Controller:


  • Must be immediately available or on a 1 week notice period
  • Working in a fast-paced credit environment
  • Good Excel and organisational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone manner
  • Calm and confident manner
  • Good team worker but also able to work independently
