InterMoor, an Acteon company, is a world leading provider of life-of-field mooring solutions that specialises in all aspects of mooring of offshore assets. We offer anchor and mooring system construction; marine mooring sales and rental; floating infrastructure positioning and hooking up; mooring installation and inspection; maintenance, repair and replacement services; and late-life disposal services.

InterMoor has designed, supplied and deployed technically advanced mooring systems and hooked up floating units in some of the harshest waters and deepest seas in the world. Our extensive track record extends to all types of mooring systems, temporary and permanent, including floating renewable energy systems, floating production units and mobile offshore drilling units.

Intermoor are looking to hire a Cost Controller on a 6 month fixed term contract based in Aberdeen. The Cost Controller will ensure the development, implementation and execution of the Project Cost Control, Cost Reporting and Invoicing objectives within the contracted work scopes.


Duties/Responsibilities

  • Understand and participate in support of the project commercial aims, financial risks, and opportunities through familiarization with the full scope of works
  • Develop and maintain a risk register to identify, quantify, and track financial and commercial risk to the project
  • Interface with the Project Manager, Commercial Manager and Financial Controller to manage the change control process for project and work scope variation orders, identifying and documenting changes and variations of scope and assist in raising and tracking change orders to identify and invoice additional cost and revenue
  • Be familiar with the Project Schedule as an accurate model of all required project timescales, taking account of resource requirements, and be prepared to develop recovery/alternative plans should they be required
  • Assist the Financial Controller and Commercial Manager to develop the project cash flow analysis
  • Liaise with Project Manager and project management team daily providing briefing, feedback and highlighting any areas of concern, to enable tracking of costs against baseline, highlighting significant deviations
  • Develop positive client relationships and feedback information gained on future opportunities and competitor activity to the project management team
  • Understand and comply with contract notification and reporting procedures
  • Once project is at completion stage, complete invoicing requirements and close out reporting


Requirements

  • Relevant experience working in cost control in the engineering, marine and subsea construction industry
  • Experienced and qualified with accountancy software platforms such as Navision/Sage/SAP/ORACLE in application to complex programmes and projects
  • Ability to estimate, plan and set standards at both macro and micro level
  • Familiarity with construction site equipment, techniques, and logistics
