JOB DESCRIPTION COPYWRITER AND CONTENT CREATOR

Post Title: Copywriter and Content Creator, London Dental Specialists. 111 Regents Park Road London NW1 8UR

Hours of work: 8.30-5.30pm (no overtime between 8am-6pm). 2.5 OR 5 days per week (there is some potential flexibility for the right applicant). 1-2 planned late nights per week (Please expect these to be long days). Overtime will be repaid as time off in lieu. No overtime payments due to the current financial constraints. Dental courses occur on Saturdays (1 per month approx.). You will be required to attend the study club events and courses for your education and because they are the means by which you develop an independent relationship with our patients and referrers (which is an essential part of your role)

Salary: £24,960-£33,280 per year (dependent on previous experience).

Responsibilities: Ensuring that words in our content is consistent on social media and our websites. Creating and editing of practice photographs and videos using practice equipment. Some of the content will include patient interviews about their experience with the practice and so a genuine interest and dentistry is crucial. You will also need to have a keen eye for digital design for social media and website purposes utilising design programs such as canva and photoshop etc

In a specialist practice such as ours, we feel that the role of a non-dental copywriter/content creator is essential to our long-term success because online communication is now crucial to our long-term strategy of effectively communicating with our current and new patients. This role is entirely new to our practice because we recognise that the crucial nature of digital communication in the 21st century.

London Dental Specialists is a specialist, referral dental practice based in central London. We currently accept referrals for periodontics (management of periodontitis, soft tissue grafting, functional and aesthetic crown lengthening), prosthodontics (crowns, veneers and dentures), orthodontics (mainly fixed labial appliances), endodontics (root canal treatments, post/instrument removal, perforation repair) and implant dentistry (implant placement, bone grafting, full arch implants). Our unique selling point is based around management of complex cases where the specialists need to be in very close contact for excellent results.

How do we serve our patients and referrers

1. Patient has an expectation of price at the point of referral from GDP/first contact with the practice

6. Visits to our referring practices every 3 months.

Key Objectives of the role

· To design and create our monthly patient newsletters using parameters set by Chris Barrow

· To design and create our monthly dental professional newsletter using parameters set by Chris Barrow.

· Creation of photography content to be used on social media and websites.

· Filming and editing video content to be used on social media and our websites.

· Contribution to the practice administration tasks.

· Ability to proof read copy for social media and websites

Clinical Duties: Filming and taking pictures of clinical procedures.

Administration: support of the practice owner/ manager/nurses in any associated non-clinical tasks

Mentorship/Continuing Professional Development.

The practice owner (Ope Sodeinde) is happy to provide all the one-on-one teaching required to provide help a new member of the team. I will provide this teaching at the end of the working day. Please be aware that I will want you to do some studying before we have the teaching session. You will not be paid for this extra time. We run study clubs for dentists and hygiene/therapists every 3 months which you are strongly encouraged to attend. They occur every 3 months and you will learn a lot from this and get CPD. I also run modular restorative courses for dentists covering various aspects of restorative dentistry.

The practice has an online course on film editing which you can access as our employee. You would be expected to complete this course within 1 month.

We also have access to a large number of online courses through our relationship with Extreme Business. We would expect that a small selection of them will be completed within your first 3 months.
