We are recruiting for a Treasury Controller to join our busy Treasury team. M&S is an iconic UK retailer with turnover of £11bn. Treasury is a critical function within our head office, responsible for funding and handling financial risk for the group including interest rate, foreign exchange and energy exposures.

Working closely with the Group Treasurer and Deputy Treasurer, this is a varied position with a leadership role in the reporting of Treasury activities both internally and externally.

You'll ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements, lead Treasury engagement with the auditors, as well as critical analysis of the impact of new projects from accounting, operational and policy perspectives.

This role can be based either from our Salford Quays or London Paddington locations and we would consider part-time applicants as well as full-time for this role.

• Meticulous and strong analytical skills with good attention to detail
• Qualified accountant with experience of accounting and valuation for treasury instruments
• Treasury qualification
• Treasury experience
• Able to manage a varied workload within set timeframes
• Excellent relationship management capabilities - able to build and maintain both internal and external partner relationships
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
• TMS, FXAll, SAP and online payment platform knowledge is desirable
