Arcus FM are currently recruiting for a Controlled Environment Manager that will be responsible for managing planned and reactive day to day works. The role will involve planning and organising a wide array of FM works, which will then be delivered through the engineering teams, while driving excellent levels of service delivery.

The primary function of this position is the management of the engineering aspects of a Controlled Environment on a static site based in Sand Hutton. You will also be required to Interface with client, client’s tenants, Arcus FM and sub-contractors with regard to provision of specialist services. Other duties include;

• Management and support of site Controlled Environments and CE engineers
• Data input of Controlled Environments calibrations and maintenance visits on the sites log book
• FM Lead for tenant licensed facilities (DEFRA, Home Office, FERA), liaise with client and (tenant) license holders.
• Plan statutory works relating to pressure mechanical systems.
• Manage pressure systems log books.
• Appointed Person (AP) for Pressure Mechanical systems.
• Liaise with client consultant project manager and Arcus FM project team, relating to site services LTHW, DHWS, BCWS CW, MTHW services and associated plant and site BMS, as installed systems and science delivery.
• Assist in managing validation and qualification of specialist areas including IQU, Plant Pathology, Plant Health and HO facilities.
• Assist with planning & Managing engineering elements for shutdown of Containment level 3 Facilities, liaise directly with FERA microbiological safety officer and implement planned maintenance and validation of facility.
• Liaise with site shift, mechanical and CE room technicians to carry out reactive works.
• Assist with response to site issues, incident investigation and subsequent incident report writing.
• Responsible for complex fault investigation for CE services, and assist with complex fault investigation for M&E services site wide.
• Produce Monthly report direct to Capita and their energy management consultancy in relation to the Capita energy review for the NAFIC estate.
• Co-ordination of CE room specialist contractor (for support and training) to site technicians.

This is a key role within a controlled site, so the ideal candidate will have a proven engineering background in either refrigeration, electrics or controls, and be able to operate as a technical lead. They should also have an understanding of how best to support, utilise and manage FM maintenance teams, and have a track record of delivering high volume FM maintenance schedules in a controlled environment. Specific Qualifications

• 5 GCSE’s including English and Maths
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical or Refrigeration

Desirable Qualifications

• F-Gas Category 1
• AP in pressure, HV, LV or confined spaces
• 18th Edition
• PASMA
• 2391 test and inspect
• Additional industry qualifications would be advantageous

Experience

• Working with HVAC control systems
• Eurotherm controls
• SCADA experience is desirable
• BMS experience is desirable
• Decision making and problem solving
