The UK Chief Administrative Office (CAOO) was established in Q4 2019 to provide dedicated support to UK Legal Entity/Branch Heads and UK Senior Managers on key matters and initiatives, drive embedding of a legal-entity-focussed culture, effective control environment, and alignment to regulatory expectations.

Within the office, the Project Manager role will be part of the CAO Organization’s Regulatory Transformation team. The CAO office is leading the most critical regulatory & transformation efforts for Citi's CEO, influencing the strategy & direction of Citigroup.

We are hiring for this role to be aligned to the work for the global transformation programmes, with responsibility for coordinating the execution for the UK legal entities activities across these Transformation Programmes including, to provide support, coordination, governance, and oversight of cross-business and cross-function initiatives that impact a single or multiple legal entities or branches within the UK.


Responsibilities:

  • Support planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running the transformation program or portfolio of programs. Play a key role in supporting the evolution of transformation program capabilities, collaborate with stakeholders to ensure program scope definition meets business objectives, and identify opportunities and prioritize projects based on business needs.
  • Direct the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, escalating any issues associated with the programs, as needed, to the Transformation Lead on a timely basis.
  • Ensure timely internal and external status reporting on progress of execution programme, inclusive of required Board and Regulatory status reports.
  • Lead the identification and drive resolution of issues, including those outside established projects of work. Ensure timely escalation of significant issues to appropriate governance forum.
  • Drive adherence to program processes, procedures, methods, and standards for program delivery and leverage across the programs
  • Appropriately assess risk and cross-enterprise dependencies when business decisions are made
  • Action deliverables from reviews of each program’s defined scope, target state, and success criteria to ensure it fully addresses the letter and the spirit of the regulatory feedback, broader supervisory expectations and underlying issues and root causes, and is embedded in a broader strategic vision
  • Monitor and track execution of transformation programs. Work in collaboration with the Transformation Lead to develop and ensure timely and consistent PMO status reporting
  • Ensures all stakeholders are identified and included in scope definition activities and understand the program schedule and key milestones.
  • Ensure all areas of the program are appropriately staffed to meet the operational needs
  • Monitor and track execution of transformation programs within the Initiative and escalate program risks impacting project delivery to the Initiative Director and appropriate stakeholders;
  • ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary
  • Collaborate with Program Managers to action deliverables from reviews of each program’s defined scope, target state, and success criteria to ensure it fully addresses the letter and the
  • spirit of the regulatory feedback, broader supervisory expectations and underlying issues and root causes, and is embedded in a broader strategic vision
  • Oversee successful and timely execution of Transformation Initiative. Work in collaboration with the Transformation Lead to manage any issues in delivering timely and consistent PMO
  • status reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates consistent track record of having worked as a Program or Project Manager, orworking on large, strategic cross-functional project
  • Previous program/project management, consulting or technology experience preferred with the ability to create and manage large and complex projects using MS Project
  • Specific subject matter expertise regarding transformation and program management disciplines and a strong business understanding of the products and services Citi offers
  • General understanding of relevant banking regulation and supervisory expectations for large complex financial institutions
  • Track record of managing internal relationships and demonstrated experience in leading sustained change and change management efforts
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, analytically, and creatively problem solve
  • Well-developed listening skills and a strong ability to engage at the senior management level
  • Proficiency in working in iCAPs/Citi’s Risk and Control platform, SharePoint and PTS-W/PTS

Skills:

  • Articulate and effective communicator, both orally and in writing
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with evidence of working in collaboration across large organizations, including a proactive and 'no surprises' approach in communicating issues/requests
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in driving positive and sustained change

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
