Job title: Continuous Improvement Professional (Dreadnought)

What you’ll be doing:

• Assessment and analysis of various processes e.g. procedures, systems, environment, business interfaces, culture. Providing executive summaries, reports and presentations when required
• Identify opportunity and risk mitigation together with building project plans capable of delivering the required results in a timely manner
• Utilise problem solving methodology to address root causes
• Management of improvement projects throughout all stages of an improvement cycle
• Ensuring sustainability of implemented changes, to ensure a project will deliver desired benefits over the medium / long term
• Flow-up any gaps & skills requirement to Continuous Improvement Managers in Dreadnought

Your skills and experiences:

• Working understanding of business improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma
• Working Understanding of Project and Change Management Principles
• Mathematical and analytic mind-set
• Degree qualified in STEM based subject
• Lean practitioner/Six Sigma would be advantageous

The Continuous Improvement team:

You will be part of a team of internal business improvement consultants that is responsible for developing and delivering schedule, cost, quality and safety improvements that directly impact the dreadnought programme. Providing support in achieving operational excellence across the BAE Submarines business through the delivery and co-ordination of strategically aligned business improvement projects.
