Applications are invited for the post of Consultant in Gastroenterology/Hepatology at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This offers the opportunity to join a cohesive and progressive gastroenterology and hepatology department which has an excellent track record in clinical service delivery, research, teaching & training.
This is an exciting opportunity to appoint to a full-time consultant position to replace a recent vacancy. The post holder is expected to have broad experience of gastroenterology, hepatology and endoscopy, contributing to the core Gastroenterology elective and emergency service but with special emphasis on delivering hepatology services.
The department offers Complex IBD, Nutrition, Hepatology and hepato-biliary expertise in addition to advanced therapeutic endoscopic services and a bowel cancer screening service. The applicant will have the opportunity to further train in ERCP. The applicant should have an interest in the following: hepatitis C elimination, hepatology research, liver cancer MDT and working in co-operation with the liver transplant unit based in Leeds.
The successful applicant will join a team of 9 WTE gastroenterologists fully supported by specialist nurses and advanced diagnostic services. They will participate in a 1 in 10 category A out of hours on call rota.
