About The Role

Contract type: Fixed term, 12 months

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours

Location: Head Office, Nottingham (Hybrid working)

We have a brand-new opportunity available for a Compliance Monitoring Manager to join the Society on a 12-month FTC!

You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining The Nottingham’s regulatory compliance monitoring processes and standards, setting and agreeing the schedule with the First Line and Head of Compliance & DPO. You will carry out Regulatory and Conduct Risk monitoring reviews to provide assurance to key stakeholders of The Nottingham compliance with regulatory requirements.

You will join a collaborative, supportive team working with a wide range of stakeholders and departments during a particularly exciting period of transformation and change for the Society!

Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing as a Compliance Monitoring Manager at The Nottingham –

  • Design and maintain regulatory and conduct risk monitoring plans to meet regulatory requirements
  • Work with the First Line and Head of Compliance & DPO to agree the scope of any reviews and then conduct the monitoring, drafting and agreeing high quality monitoring reports
  • Ensure all actions from reviews are recorded and that a follow up process is in place to track resolution
  • Prepare high quality analysis, insight and reporting to verify that The Nottingham’s key compliance risks are being managed within stated risk appetite
  • Work with the Head of Compliance, Head of Internal Audit and Head of Risk to recommend, agree, implement and conduct a monitoring plan that demonstrates the level to which third party outputs can be relied upon by The Nottingham

What we’re looking for –

  • A good understanding of financial services, T&C frameworks and requirements of the FCA and PRA rules and guidance
  • Relevant, transferable experience within a similar role
  • An analytical and methodical approach
  • You will be confident and decisive with an ability to exercise sound judgment on a consistent basis
  • The ability to build and maintain credible internal and external stakeholder partnerships
