Commissioning and Service Development Manager
County Hall, Norwich
£45,395 to £49,379 per annum/hour (Scale L)
37 hours per week
Permanent contract
Our Commissioning Service plays a critical role in helping to deliver innovative solutions for families across Norfolk. We have ambitious plans to place children, young people and families and relationship-based practice at the heart of what we do, providing better and more integrated services to meet needs across education, health and social care.
Following recent reconfiguration and expansion of the service, we are recruiting for a Commissioning and Service Development Manager to work with the specialist and complex commissioning team, developing support for children and young people with various needs, including alternative to care.
With experience of commissioning and/or operationally delivering services for children and young people and their families, you will be passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people. Direct experience in Health or Social Care would be advantageous, but we welcome applications from any sector, and from candidates who wish to work virtually outside of Norfolk and can travel to the county when required.
In return we think we have lots to offer: the exciting challenge of the role itself, the working environment at Norfolk County Council where we put work/life balance at the forefront, offering flexible, smarter working arrangements underpinned by leading edge technology. There’s also Norfolk as a destination, where you’ll be surrounded by a unique blend of beaches, broads, countryside and culture.
We might be biased, but we think it’s a great role in a great place. If you think you have what it takes, we would love to hear from you. For an informal conversation about this vacancy please contact Rashid Almutairi, Strategic Commissioner at rashid.almutairi@norfolk.gov.uk.
