To contribute to the provision of a consistent high-quality oncology nursing care service for patients and families through:

• Working under the supervision of the Band 7 Macmillan Clinical Nurse Specialists to develop a range of agreed competencies and advanced skills in the practice of high quality specialist cancer care for patients and families with complex needs
• Contributing to the provision of professional support to colleagues within the community and participating in the delivery and evaluation of educational programmes
• Liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies/professionals throughout ABMU and across networks to ensure a seamless service for patients and their families.
• Working in partnership with the Macmillan Lead Nurse for Cancer and other team members to develop cancer and palliative care services for the local population.
