Job Description
The Clinical Effectiveness Co-ordinator will support the Clinical Effectiveness function in the Quality Department in the monitoring of Clinical Effectiveness activity across University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust to support the strategic implementation of the quality strategy.
In addition you will have line management responsibility (day to day supervision) for staff members based within the Clinical Effectiveness Team and will deputise for the Head of Clinical Effectiveness and Assurance, where appropriate in their absence.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual to join the Clinical Effectiveness Team within the Quality Department at UHCW as Clinical Effectiveness Coordinator on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will support the delivery of the trust wide strategy for clinical effectiveness across the Trust.
Co-ordinate robust and effective implementation of systems and processes developed for reviewing information and data relating to clinical effectiveness activities. Mainly the delivery of the clinical guidelines process and learning from trends in mortality data.
Provide high level facilitation and co-ordination of action plans to support the effectiveness compliance for the Trust.
Assist with advice and support to the Clinical Effectiveness function, Trust wide committees and speciality clinical teams to allow them to manage their clinical effectiveness activities effectively. E.g. QIPS report coordination, committee reports.
Provide support and advice for healthcare professionals in the development of clinical effectiveness project methodologies, including all aspects of project design, data collection methods and analytical support.

The role the management and coordination of information and data relating to the portfolio. This includes collecting, accessing and analysing data on areas such as clinical guidelines, NICE guidance, mortality outcomes data, progress on the Trusts deliver of the clinical audit programme and actions plans from clinical audit activity and support assurance activity such as CQC visits.
Produce reports for committees and coordinating the team to produce regular reports for clinical specialities quality meetings.
There is an opportunity in this role to identify areas for quality improvement, through looking at trends therefore the successful candidate will have data analysis skills to be able to identify trends and themes from the information available enabling information on the effectiveness of care to be transformed into quality improvement.
