About The Role

Due to our continued growth, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Cleaning Manager to join our business.

Cleaning Manager

Location: H3G Reading

The main purpose of the job is to ensure all manual cleaning of the warehouse, yard and facilities are completed to the specification as required.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Adhere to all SBFM and client health and safety rules and requirements
  • To Train and ensure all staff are compliant to risk assessments and method statements
  • Complete investigations, near misses and any SBFM documents as per request from your line manager.
  • Ensure all teams have required personal protective equipment (PPE) or site-specific clothing as directed by the job entail on the day
  • Complete weekly timesheets
  • Ensure all schedules are completed and filed accordingly
  • Weekly site audit and filed accordingly
  • Complete site orders
  • Report and deal with anything in need of repair or replacement
  • Complete all starter packs and organise site inductions/training
  • To be contactable as per business needs
  • Daily briefs and coaching to team
  • Maintain good relations with client staff, contractors, and visitors to the site
  • Carry out daily/weekly checks of cleaning machines and other cleaning equipment as directed
  • Ensure that all designated cleaning areas and spaces are always clean and tidy and store all cleaning materials safely (All COSHH adhered to etc)
  • Ensure all processes are completed as per the method statements
  • Put saving initiatives to line manager
  • To be accountable and support any internal or external audits.

You will be expected to work 40 hours per week flexible and may be asked to carry out other tasks as and when required within reason.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role
  • A proactive approach and an excellent eye for detail, methodical and organised
  • Self motivated, confident and an engaging approachable manner with a ‘can do’ flexible attitude to work requirements
  • Excellent client focus and a proven track record of service delivery in facilities management or contract cleaning environment
  • Team player and able to motivate others
