This is a full time, permanent role, averaging 40-50 Hours per week over 5 days (excluding Mondays & Sundays) but flexible is preferred.

Trilogic Recruitment is seeking an experienced and creative Chef to join a busy and popular tapas restaurant in the heart of Old Town, Swindon. As a Chef, you will be responsible for, preparation, and presentation of all dishes, ensuring the highest quality of food and service is provided to customers.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter and able to work independently. You will be expected to handle aspects of the kitchen operation, from ordering and inventory management to food preparation and cooking.

Typical Shifts
:

  • Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday (Flexible is preferred)
  • Hours are typically 11:30am – 14:30, and then 17:00 – 22:00-ish!


This is a great role for someone who wants to join a small team and be a central part of the business.


Key Responsibilities

  • Providing new and exciting changes to existing menus and developing new dishes to keep the restaurants offerings fresh and exciting!
  • Drives sales through strategic planning and collaboration with management and the owner through menu planning.
  • Preparing and cooking dishes to a high standard, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
  • Managing food costs and inventory, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and waste is minimised.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
  • Complying with food hygiene and health and safety regulations
  • Providing support and training to junior members of the kitchen team as required
  • Work to a set gross profit

Requirements Certificate in Food Hygiene Level 3 as a minimum. High level of personal grooming standards. Proven experience as a Chef, ideally in a busy restaurant environment. Ability to work independently and take ownership of the kitchen operation. Strong creative and culinary skills, with the ability to develop new dishes and menus. Knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety regulations. Excellent communication and leadership skills. A passion for food and a desire to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Flexibility in work schedule.
