In this critical role within the Financial Crime Centre of Excellence (FC CoE), you’ll be responsible for supporting the Quality Control of Business Banking and Cater Allen CDD teams to understand operational processes, define key process control points, including the creation of QC Test Scripts, used to measure the effectiveness of the CDD Capability.

You’ll be responsible for undertaking QC activities including the actual testing, communicating the results to control owners and maintaining documented procedures and related process documentation that underpins the execution of QC.

  • Undertaking QC activities to defined reporting cycles ensuring output is appropriately recorded, including completed test scripts, results, and feedback;

  • Supporting the definition and maintenance of the approach to QC sample methodology including the risk-based rationale for it;

  • Reviewing documented procedures and processes to identify key risks or control points to inform QC test script creation, including alignment of the test scripts, procedures, and processes;

  • Delivering relevant and constructive QC feedback, as required, in a well-articulated and timely manner;

  • Completing the accurate and timely production of QC MI and key metrics for CDD Capability and FC CoE governance forums;

  • Anticipating potential risks and issues and proactively identify opportunities to enhance processes.

What you’ll bring.

We are looking for people who can help shape, influence and transform the bank’s capabilities; ensuring we continue to disrupt financial crimes and enable the right outcomes for our customers .

  • In-depth knowledge of Financial Crime risks in the end-to-end CDD management of existing and new to Bank High, Medium & Low Risk Rated Customers

  • Proven track record of undertaking QC in a business banking environment focused on CDD including experience of working to control frameworks and managing quality related testing activities

It would also be nice for you to have.

  • Working knowledge of the UK’s legislative and regulatory framework for Financial Crime including AML, CTF, Sanctions, ABC, and Preventing the Facilitation of Tax Evasion

  • Confident communicator, with effective stakeholder management skills including the delivery of difficult messages and effective dispute resolution

  • Strong organisational skills with an ability to manage conflicting interests and deadlines

  • Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

What else you need to know.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract role which can be based in our offices in Milton Keynes, Bradford, Glasgow or Sheffield.
