Up to £50,000 DOE + OTE

For this brand new role, we are seeking an experienced and well connected sales professional who is looking for an exciting challenge: to develop new business on behalf of an amazing charity that helps change peoples lives for the better.

Change Please help people experiencing homelessness back into housing and employment by selling amazing coffee to wonderful people. Our Business Development Manager will drive this by sourcing and winning new coffee stores which Compass will operate on behalf of the Charity. This will require solution-based selling and excellent stakeholder management.

More about the role:

Our Business Development Manager will be responsible for handling a pipeline of inbound leads, managing bid tendering processes, growing a pipeline of new opportunities whilst forming and maintaining strong relationships with multiple stakeholders within Change Please, Compass Group and across the marketplaces. In addition, the role will be required to

  • Identify and gather market intelligence
  • Represent Compass and Change Please in the market through social media presence and face-to-face networking
  • Take responsibility for the management of the CRM system
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process
  • Develop and deliver a new business strategy
  • Ensure completion of HSE legislative procedures
Who you are:

Our successful Business Development Manager will

  • Have experience within charity/third sector and/or experience within a corporate environment
  • Have a passion for making a positive change through charitable enterprise
  • Excellent sellingand influencing skills including lease and/or contract negotiation
  • High attention to detail
  • Be well organised, self-disciplined and accountable
  • Ability to effectively manage and build rapport with multiple stakeholders
  • Effective communicator with excellent presentation and influencing skills

Experience within the coffee (retail operations) industry desirable but not essential
