Job Description Summary

As the Biomedical Trainee Engineer, you will be assigned to a Service Area in the UK to begin a 2-year trainee program with a view of taking a permanent role at GE HealthCare on completion. The role is to maintain and repair medical equipment within the GE HealthCare range at customer sites within an assigned Service Area. Joining a team of experienced engineers, you will be working with Biomed kits and will be allocated a mentor to guide you. Your 2-year program will be a combination of product training at one of our service areas, coupled with day-to-day on the job training with current experienced engineers. A laptop, phone and toolkit will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Taking direction from and balancing the needs of Biomed Team Leaders and account manager to support the contract and meet KPI’s

  • Taking initiative within working environment and help assist team members where and when required

  • Comply with GE leadership behaviors

  • Comply with local and global H&S regulations

  • Commitment to quality and follow local and global QMS


Qualifications and experience

  • Fresh Graduate in or with Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, Medical Technician or Electronics Engineering

  • previous experience in clinical areas/hospitals desirable

  • Knowledge of relevant governing body and industry standards

  • Willing to travel to different sites and assisting wider team

  • Strong interest in technology and an ambition for future career in medical equipment service

  • Good communication skills
