The Bid Manager works on major bids using their experience and expertise to guide and support business leaders, technical teams, bid teams and capture managers to effectively deliver winning bids. The Bid Manager has a target win rate of 50%, working selectively from the qualified pipeline on those opportunities that will make the greatest difference to NSR and EBITA growth.
The Bid Manager is responsible for leading bid teams in the creation bid win strategy, driving that strategy throughout all stages of the bid from facilitation of kick off, delivery method creation, commercial challenge, through the bid submission to interview / presentation preparation and debrief. The Bid Manager provides consistency throughout all stages and is responsible for sharing lessons learnt and enabling continuous improvement in our bidding efforts.

Collaboration: Develop effective relationships with internal stakeholders, helping to grow individual and team credibility. When managing a bid, promote collaborative working practices to ensure no part of the bid effort is isolated.
Champion for improvements: Support the ongoing development and improvement of our work winning processes and tools, and champion them across EWE. Effectively deploy bid management tools and techniques in keeping with work winning processes and procedures.
Communicating effectively: Be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Support and lead bid development workshops for the creation of capture plans, win themes and answer planning.
Leading and managing others: As a minimum, the bid manager will be the ‘hub’ that links all the moving parts of a bid, managing and motivating the bid team to achieve milestones within the bid programme. Maintain confident control of all bid content and be prepared to challenge and manage the team positively. Promote a culture of sharing knowledge, insights and learning.
