We are currently seeking an accomplished, confident and vibrant Head Bartender to join our American Bar team.

The on target earning potential for this role is £34,000 / annual salary based on 39 hours per week - comprising a base salary of £28,000, plus a qualified estimate of £6,000 in gratuities and service charge. * As a member of the Gleneagles team, you will also enjoy a fantastic range of perks, benefits and rewards

Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:
You’ll coordinate with The American Bar Manager and Head of Bars, to creatively deliver and consolidate an award-winning sequence of service
Taking pride in representing the American Bar in major Cocktail competitions
You’ll be responsible of service operations within our American Bar; managing stock levels, daily bar administration, ensuring the bar is a clean and well organised operation
You’ll lead the team in delivering a unique and engaging sequence of service; coordinating training calendars and contract for the wider beverage team
Building and maintaining luxury guest rapport; always exceeding our guests’ expectations
Engaging with the global bartending community to enhance the positioning of Gleneagles as a world class beverage operation; making sure your work stands out from the crowd, always one step ahead of industry trends and sourcing innovative ingredients, techniques and spirts
You’ll build strong working relationships with your colleagues across the estate; being part of a mighty team developing our beverage offerings and leading be example
Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us luxurious in every way

The kind of person we're looking for:
You already have strong bartending skills with knowledge and passion for cocktail creation
Ideally, you’re currently established in a similar role, having had experience within a luxury hospitality environment, however having a great attitude is essential
Your perspective and approach are always fresh; no matter how many times an issue has been presented to you, to your guest it’s the first time
You have a keen eye for detail, an organised approach and willingness to exceed guest expectations
You want to be the best and work with the best – learning from the experts in our team and sharing your knowledge with us
You have a high level of resilience and the ability to deal with fast-paced environments is essential
Passionate about personal development, you take great interest in global beverage trends and new ideas to expand your knowledge; you’re a curious, creative, and a commercially minded extrovert who gets energy from spending time and networking with others
Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; you're passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the Gleneagles brand
You have a positive “can do” attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner
A strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you're well organised and punctual with an eagle eye for detail

Gratuities (tips) and service charge (an additional charge added to our room rates and services across the estate that is passed directly to our employees) are paid on a pro-rata basis regardless of your role
It is estimated that in 2023, our full-time employees can expect to receive around £6,000 in addition to their annual salary
