We are currently seeking a dynamic, passionate and highly knowledgeable Bar Manager to lead our American Bar team.

The on target earning potential for this role is £43,234.08 / annual salary based on 39 hours per week - comprising a base salary of £37,234.08, plus a qualified estimate of £6,000 in gratuities and service charge. * As a member of the Gleneagles team, you will also enjoy a fantastic range of perks, benefits and rewards

Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:
Managing your team; leading from the front and making sure your operation is always slick, through setting challenging objectives to constantly improve service and develop our people
You’ll have the opportunity to positively influence the direct marketing and customer engagement strategies of the Bars team through menu launches and international events along side our Head of Mixology
Actively assess business levels to effectively collaborate with the Century Bar and wider estate event needs; redistributing resources where required
You’ll collaborate with the Head of Bars, to creatively deliver and consolidate an award-winning sequence of service You’ll build strong working relationships with your colleagues across the estate; being part of a mighty team developing our beverage offerings and leading from the front
Leading the team in delivering a unique and engaging sequence of service; coordinating training calendars and content for the wider beverage team
Engaging with the global bartending community to enhance the positioning of Gleneagles as a world class beverage operation; making sure your work stands out from the crowd, always one step ahead of industry trends and sourcing innovative ingredients, techniques and spirts
You’ll be responsible of service operations within our American Bar; managing cost control, coordinating recruitment needs whilst ensuring the bar is a clean and well organised operation
Building and maintaining luxury guest rapport; always exceeding our guests’ expectations
Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us luxurious in every way

You’re currently established in a similar role, ideally having had experience within luxury hospitality management positions.
You enjoy the theatre and stage, but are modest, understated and without ego; you care for others as much as you care for yourself and role model this consistently
You are energised and fuelled by delivering luxury experiences and equally high expectations. You’re resilient, and skilled at managing multiple and often competing priorities
You possess a positive, professional, and courteous attitude, always see a glass half-full, and are consistent in your mood, manner, and behaviour.
You intuitively put yourself in the shoes of others whether that be your guests or your people; no matter how many times an issue has been presented to you, you recognise that to this person it’s likely a first
You’ll be an early bird some days and a night owl other, working flexibly during the week and weekends, leading from the front and by example
You have an exceptional and discerning eye for detail and take pride in fixing the small things that make a big difference
You have high expectations of yourself and others. You drive high performance and ensure others are brought on the journey with you
You’ll bring a strong people focus and the desire to grow and nurture team members through coaching and training
Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; you're passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the Gleneagles brand
You have a positive “can do” attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner
